What if America conquered its part of Germany in the partitioning and made a territory/state?

So what if after ww2 when they partitioned Germany into 4 pieces America conquered there piece and made it a Territory/state? I don’t go this would happen but could it happen?

cant wait to read the history book about the expats that returned to conquer their former home then incorporate it into the nation they left for.

I'm imagining a US where, instead of everyone going mad on St Paddy's Day, they have Maximilian I Joseph Day to all wear lederhosen & drink pils*, and the place held by the Dropkick Murphys in OTL America is taken by a punk Oompah band.

* (Which is a damn sight more palatable than Guinness, so a bonus for TTL US beer drinkers)

Very, very implausible. USA wasn't anymore expansionist in this point and it wouldn't had do anything from territory in Europe and it would had been against US foreing politics, I think. Even from Japan USA didn't take anything else as some Pacific Islands. And Germans wouldn't be very happy about that and probably USA should expel most of Germans which hardly would looks very good at least in coming decades.

Imperial Germany and Nazi Germany tried to use the German American community to their benefit and mostly failed, so why should the German Americans go back to Germany just because the US tells them to?

Why would they expel the Germans if there was no one to replace them with? Aside from German Americans I suppose--a lot of people displaced by the Dust Bowl were Volga German immigrants to the US (and their children), so I suppose the US could boot some Germans from their land and place these displaced Volga Germans there.

At least European Germans hardly want to be part of USA and it might be problem to USA.
