What if a Month Before the Battle of Gettysburg, Grant Coups Lincoln

What if Grant before Gettysburg, Grant and many of the other US army generals were opportunistic enough to overthrow Lincoln and dissolve the civilian government

Grant had no real standing at this point; he wasn't placed in overall command until 1864 and had yet to do the Chattanooga relief effort nor even take Vicksburg.

Grant's soldiers simply wouldn't follow his orders in a coup d'etat.

I can think of only two scenarios in which the North could have suffered a military coup during the Civil War: if Booth's plot was completely successful and decapitated the executive branch or if the North suffered a series of catastrophic battlefield defeats followed by the capture of Washington, D.C.

Hooker had an interesting view on military control of the government. If somehow, Chancellorsville happens differently where it’s wayyyyy less his fault and more Washington, then you have means, motive, and opportunity for a coup in the precise time frame.
