During the cold war Berlin was a little capitalist enclave in the middle of communist east germany, but what if there had been a communist enclave in the middle of a capitalist nation. If, for example the USSR had participated in an invasion of Japan, or had an occupation zone in Austria, there could have been a communist chunk of Vienna or Tokyo in the middle of Austria or Japan.
Presumably people wouldn't be trying to escape into these Soviet dominated spots as they did into west berlin, but would the natives try to escape, and if so what would the soviets do about it?
