What Ideology Would Poland and/or Russia Opt for if Freed from Nazi Germany?

In the case that Nazi Germany manages to successfully occupy Poland and/or Russia for a significant amount of time - enough to enforce their rule there but not enough to reduce them to a blithering wreck - what ideology would the countries revert to once freed?

Poland - democracy, with some nationalism directed towards Germans obviously.

Russia - if communism is overthrown by the Germans, they probably don't return to it but evolve into some dictatorship with democratic facade and Putin-like strong leader.

What do you base this on?

Not sure about Poland and Russia, but if Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists takes control of Ukraine... probably some nationalistic dictatorship.

Russia: Communism. Since Germany never even planned to occupy the totality of it and probably would never be able even get to the Urals, the Soviets will still be around to free, and shoulder the burden of reconstructing, the rest of their nation.

Poland: Either a democracy with a strong nationalist-authoritarian element or Communism, depending on how much the Germans were able to hold against the Soviets.

It could be a pure democracy. It could be a relapse of authoritarianism. But why Communism? IOTL it failed to gain any support before being imposed by force - which would render half of the original question senseless.

If the only or most effective resistance forces in Poland are Communist or Communist-influenced that would do the job. Sometimes being the last one standing is all you need.

The part of my post which says "depending on how much the Germans were able to hold against the Soviets" is the key to answering that question.

which would render half of the original question senseless.

Technically, that half of the question is already kind of senseless: Poland was completely occupied by the Germans "for a significant amount of time" IOTL, that bit isn't alternate history at all.
