What ideologies would these parties have based on their position? Proposals?

(sorry if this thread is in the wrong forum.)
Hello, as I mentioned in other posts I did. I'm doing an alternative story. In the AH there are 4 political parties: Federalist, Republican, Democratic, Progressive. I just want to make corrections in their ideologies. Because I did not know what their ideologies would be based on their political spectrum. See:

1) Federalist Party: It is the oldest political party. its foundation dates from 1792 and has remained in politics with ups and downs, the last presidential election it won was in 1984. Its political position is Right with inclinations to the Center-Right.
2) Republican Party: founded in the decade of 1850 and currently has a majority in coalition with the federalists since 2014. Its position is Center-Right with inclinations to the Right.
3) Democratic Party: founded in the decade of 1820 is along with the Republicans, the party with the most electoral victories and rotating the presidency consecutively since 1992. Its position is Center with inclinations to the Center-Left.
4) Progressive Party: is the youngest party of the four, was created in 1912 by Theodore Roosevelt and almost managed to win the presidential election in 1912 but was second after the Democrats. It was until 1932 that he won the presidential election with FDR in a tight second round and managed to stay in power until 1948. The party is from the Center-Left with inclinations to the Center.

Paragraph: There are other minority parties similar to the parties Reforma, Libertario, Verde.

What ideologies would they have today based on their political spectrum? What people have an ideology and a similar position? For example, I thought about putting Bernie Sanders as a Progressive and Ronald Reagan as a Federalist.

And how can they know what ideology and position a person has? it would be useful to know.

I'd say make the Democrats center-left and the Progressives Hard-left.
If this country has a parliamentary system (and judging by the fact that there are 4 major parties, it does) it doesn't make sense that the hard-right have their own party but the hard-left doesn't.

multiple parties does not necessarily equal parliamentary system. Brazil has a presidential system and has literally dozens of different parties in their congress. Meanwhile, in Australia, politics are dominated by Labour and the Liberals.

in my story, the left and the extreme left have not triumphed in politics and have been relegated although there is at least one left party as a minority without seats. That's why there is no leftist party, is it by name? I put that name because I liked

same case in Mexico

Proportional representation is much more important for creating multi party systems.

Federalists: National-Conservatives
Republicans: Liberal-Conservatives
(One of them could/should be something along European Christian Democrats)
Democrats: Classical Liberals to Social Liberals
Progessives: Social-Democrats to Democratic Socialists

How strong is political christianity in thr US iTTL? That would affect, imo, which of the conservative paries would take the Christian Democracy mantle across the Atlantic.

I was thinking about maintaining the same system used by OTL United States. In my story, the United States has all of North America from Alaska and Greenland to Panama and Trinidad and Tobago. And therefore, the progressives would be "strong" in Cuba and the Federalists would be "strong" in Jalisco.

very similar to OTL. I would say with the Republicans.
