What happens if the Mongol Empire stays united?

Instead of fracturing into four pieces? And what if at the height of the Mongol Empire, the Mongols had invaded Western Europe? Could they have taken it over and ripped white society up by the roots?

Maybe a more Russian situation in Europe , with feudal lords paying tribute to Mongols ? As a whole , the Mongol Empire is too big too maintain strigent centralization. Decentralisation would be a natural process despite the communication system, the Mongol Empire had developed. Different cultures predomminated in differnet parts of the Empire, so local Mongol Khans adapted different religious faiths and cultures to legitimate themselves. So the Mongol Empire fractured into sub identities over time and had little in common despite a loose ancestry.

Rather than "rip white society up by the roots", they'd become part of it. The Mongol elite would merge with the European ruling classes. Catholic conversion would be rapid and the Mongols would simply be absorbed into christendom. Any khanates would be structured much like the Holy Roman Empire because established European institutions would inform the new order of things much more than practices introduced by the Mongols in the long run.
