What did the nazis think of native americans? I've never heard any answers on this topic so I would like to know.

Several generations of Germans venerated the Karl May writings on the American West and, according to Wikipedia, Hitler was a fan as well.

The Nazis considered Native Americans, especially the Sioux, and by extension all Native Americans to be Aryans. This was reflected in 1930s German westerns such as Der Kaiser von Kalifornien (translated as The Emperor of California), which contained highly sympathetic portrayals of Native Americans, unlike in the United States, where they were depicted as bloodthirsty savages in films.

Incredibly, several Nazi propagandists went to the Nth degree and openly declared that Germany would return expropriated land to the Indians, while Goebbels predicted they possessed little loyalty to America and would rather rebel than fight against Germany.

Doubly strange considering Hitler also explicitly based his plans for Generalplan Ost on the colonization of America.
