What are the rules for file upload size?

    I'm trying to upload a zip file of about 1mb size but I'm getting an error

    500kb is the maximum file size.

    If you want to host something in the MB range, find a good file hosting site. Not to advertise, but I can recommend Mediafire. They're professional, safe, and don't tamper with your uploaded files. You also get a lot of storage space even without a premium account.
