It is also the date of the Proclamation of the German Republic in 1918, the Hitler COup in 1923 and the Reichskristallnacht in 1938, so at least in Germany things are a bit complicated....Wouldn't Nov 9 represent how democracy finally beat communism?

Fair enough. It is also the date of the Proclamation of the German Republic in 1918, the Hitler COup in 1923 and the Reichskristallnacht in 1938, so at least in Germany things are a bit complicated....
A "Civil Rights Day" could be possible, idk what day that'd be.
Rather than a single President's day, have one for every president.
42. Not 43. Cleveland is counted twice but I imagine has but one birthday. Conversely, George Washington can be said to have two birthdays...That means we'd have 43 different holidays celebrating a president's birthday (we would have 44, except that James Polk and Warren Harding have the same birthday, November 2).
With Michael Jackson's song the official theme for the day?Moonwalk Day
I want to see Eid Al Fitr and Vesak become national holidays in the United States.
