Only two entries this round. One was a bit late, but I'll allow it.

A:

PRESBYTOBRI

The stories of Prester John and his Christian enclave in Africa circulated widely in mediaeval Europe. The territory was thought to be in or adjacent to Ethiopia. But in fact during the times of the third and fourth Prester, this ‘exclusive’ form of Christianity ventured further south and established its capital city on the shores of Lake Gnostali. Between the 15th and 18th centuries the territory controlled by Presbytobri expanded and contracted. The nation managed to retain its independence during the ‘Scramble for Africa’ by European powers in the 19th century.

Even today Presbytobri is a ‘closed’ country, not welcoming visitors or trade with the outside world. The current ruler is Prester LIV – rulers being elected for life from the 27 members of the Council of Ascension.

The flag comprises the green and white colours traditionally worn by the Presters, together with the religion’s triple cross emblem.

(Note – Because of the flag’s orientation, I have used the 300 pixels limit for the width rather than the height)

Not today?

So I can't enter this:

The Kingdom of Torkane (formerly Torquayne) is a christian country surrounding the northern shores of Lake Torquay [L. Rudolf/Turkana] in eastern Africa. Traditionally evangelised by Axum, the Torkani also claim descent from a Lost Tribe of Israel though many of their "jewish customs" appear to be due to muslim influence via Zanzibari traders; however recent DNA tests do suggest a link with the Jews of southern Arabia.
During the early Colonial Period Torkane was a member state of the Ethiopian Empire and supported against the Egyptian Caliphate by the French, British, and Tarantine Empires, before differences between those colonial powers caused Ethiopia's breakup.
The Post Colonial Period has seen a thawing of relations with the Egyptians and the emergence of the East African Economic Union.
Torkane's flag features the traditional green and yellow colours and the zebu cross.
