Wesley Clark WI

Wesley Clark, an American general who served in Kosovo and who was a presidential nominee in 2004 for the Democrats, dropped out of the Iowa causus, allowing John Kerry and John Edwards to secure crucial points. He once said that if he had stayed on the caucus, "everything would have been different."

What if it was? What if Wesley Clark had secured the Democratic nomination. Would he have won? If he did win what would his policies be? How would the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq be affected?

I'd like to think any US Army general would know better than to get into a war without a military objective.

Note that doesn't mean we wouldn't invade, but if we did we'd invade with some achievable military goal.

Of course, that might be my optimism creeping in.

Edit: oops, didn't notice this was the 2004 campaign. Well, I'd like to think he'd get us out of pointless wars quickly.
