For the sake of discussion, let's say the Weimar Republic survived the 20's and 30's, and eliminated its extremist parties and elements, becoming a free, stable, democratic nation today, part of the UN, NATO, etc. At some point in the 1930s, the Sudetenland region as we know it is annexed to this version of Germany with the approval of the League of Nations, with Germany being the attempted peace-broker between the Sudeten region and Czechoslovakia. What would this Germany do with this new territory? Would it leave it a separate state, or attach it to Saxony and Upper Silesia as additional Regierungsbezirke? Which makes the most sense?
