Weimar presidential elections without Hindenburg?

What if Hindenburg never became German president

If he died before the 1925 election or never entered politics the winner is very likely to be Dr. Marx.
The right would have nominated someone else but I don't think there was anybody as popular across party lines as Hindenburg.

I am trying to figure out what would have been the most likely outcome of the 32 election without Hindenburg.
The new president would sit until 1939 so that election would be decesive.

OTL even the SPD rallied to Hindenburg as the only one who could beat Hitler.
Marx could run again but I guess Brüning and his allies would look after someone more charismatic.

Any ideas on likely developments and candidates?

Before Hindenburg announced his intention of running again, SPD and Zentrum were looking to nominate Hugo Eckener. Whether his prestige as THE zeppelin captain would have been sufficient to collect the votes of the moderate right like Hindenburg did is anyone's guess, though ...

There was a great TL "The Zeppelin President/The Zeppelin Legacy" based around that idea.
