I know they're on another thread, but I would have liked to see the 'backstories' of the entries included in this thread.

I would edit the OP to include them, but only ah-sue's entry had a description at all I'm afraid.

NEW TEUTONIA

With a second civil war raging in Russia (1939-43), the Tomanian dictator Adenoid Hynkel invaded the Baltic republics “to prevent the Russian civil war spilling over into areas of Tomanian vital interest”. The puppet state of New Teutonia was set up, harking back to the days of the Teutonic Knights. Comprising six provinces, each headed by a Ghouleiter, an unusual hexagonal flag was created of 3 white and 3 black triangles upon which was superimposed a red eagle. This design is said to have its roots in Hynkel’s obsession with King Arthur and the Round Table and indeed the quarterly gatherings of the 6 Ghouleiters were held around a hexagonal table.

(Rather liike the US flag on moon landings, this flag was kept in place by very narrow spring loaded metal pipes along each edge).

Krall, could you edit the title of the thread ? The secondary title ("132") is all right, but the main one ("121") isn't and could prove misleading.

Oh, whoops! I think I got confused with the MotF.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like I can edit the title of the thread itself anymore. :(

My vote goes to Lapsed Pacifist's entry. It's nice to see a good take on a modern Swedish-Norwegian flag, though it looks more like a war flag than a national one.

It looks like we might end up with a three-way tie here at this rate.

Somewhat close, #1 in the lead, with #3 and #4 tied on second.
Could go anywhere at the mo
At the time I posted, #1 and #4 both had 10, and my vote pushed #3 to 9. Flag challenge polls often have a lot of ties for some reason, so I was expecting the same to happen here again.
