Weald-Artois Anticline (British Connection to Europe) Remains

Britain was not always an island. Long ago, it was connected to the continent by the Weald-Artois Anticline.

What would the implications of this connection remaining? There are many different scenarios, but try to keep it as close to OTL as possible.

I'm not sure if this belongs in ASB. Please move it if it is.

You would need to avoid the last ice age. As the ice sheets receded, they created a glacial lake in the southern North Sea, and that lake overflowed and cut itself an outlet. You could have the outlet further east or west though.

I should think, the westward diversion of this part of the Gulf Stream would keep the North Sea and Scandinavia colder. Possibly the North Atlantic stormier. Perhaps the richest fishing grounds would shift west?

I don't know how strong the effect would be on world climate as a whole, but I think North Europe would stay glaciated longer.
