Washington has a son

WI George Washinton had a son? i know he had 2 daughters, but if he had a son...a George Washington II runing for Prez in the 19th century? a Washingon liniage?

I think the best posibility for this is for his nephew, whose name I dont recall, to have his family killed and George to adopt him and raise him from an early age. Or at least early enough that George thinks of him as a son.

Wasn't that nephew William Washington, who was a patriot cavalry commander during the ARW and who fought against Tarleton at Cowpens ?

It depends on when he would have said son. If he were old enough he might fight In the American Revolution.

What effect would this have? America would still win, most likely, but what if George the 2nd died in battle? What effect woult that have on Washington, and the in turn the rest of American history?

I still think America would win, but perhapse the termoil Washington has to go thru fallowing his sons death would keep him from becoming President. But perhapse not, and maybe Washington still becomes President, and history goes on just the same.

But what if George the 2nd survives?

America might get its first Father/Son President Pair before the Adams did...

George Washington III- Commander of the Army of Northern Virginia

Doubt it because Washington looked down upon most Virginians who relied upon slaves. Also depending upon how old George Washington II is, it is entirely possible he becomes friends with his fathers main aide to camp Hamilton the abolitionist and in turn becomes an abolistionist. Also Washington was a Federalist so i think his son will also want a strong central government. I would like to see a TL about this because the idea of Washington-Adams-Jefferson-Madison-Monroe-Washington-Adams look amazing lol :D

Also this looks amazing i have to admit :D: Washington III commander of army of Northern Virginia and Robert E. Lee commander of Army of (cant remember Confederacy's army in the west)

true but he felt that they would eventually cause most Virginian farmers to go bankrupt, which would have happened had not Eli Whitney invented the Cotten Gin. He felt that slaves were more productive when they were either freed or given more rights but he also felt that in no way were they his equal or the white man equal

Which is why I don't see him being an abolitionist. An early 19th century Virginian abolitionist politician doesn't seem very plausible to me, and I don't think you'd see Washington-Adams-Jefferson-Madison-Monroe-Washington-Adams either, too many Virginians. It's about as plausible as a Washington III being a secessionist. Entertaining and original, but only slightly plausible.

What would be really cool is if Virginia stays in the Union and we have Washington III in command of the Union Army with Lee commanding the Army of the Potomac.

Well in OTL all i changed is that Adam's is elected latter than what is expected

so instead we have JQA serve 1-2 terms after Monroe, then comes Jackson for 2 terms and then Washington II for 1-2 terms im leaning toward 2 just because of his last name even if he had a bad first term
