was there any chance of russia being ruled by a czar all the way to modern day?

with a POD at or after 1900, was there any real chance of the Czars remaining in total control(or limited control) of russia, or is this ASB land?

Certainly, if the Tsarist government changed to a constitutional monarchy.

Quite agreed; the Tsar would almost certainly not be able to maintain absolute power but if he had been more willing to make concessions and create a real legislature there's no reason a British-style constitutional monarchy couldn't exist in Russia.

While it isn't about the Tsar remaining in power after 1918, the thread I just made has him regaining the throne if you wanna check it out.
