What is Britain's response to the war?

Pro-France and unless France starts to lose badly to Germany, I do not see British intervention. They will be there to keep Paris from falling to the Germans.
 
France's economy was in shambles after the war even with war reperations from Germany. The Government had to do something but what? They couldn't sell surplus weaponry, they couldn't barrow more money, what could they do?

The economic situation got worse by the day, and no one could do anything about it, in the bowels of the work force a grumble began.

In Germany the economy worsened as well, however here it was not a grumble it was a roar. Communist party members took to the streets protesting the economy, as the elections to the Riechstag grew near, the Communists were gaining steam.
