War of the Prime Meridians.

I mean that if there was, say, a french PM and an english PM and a german PM, etc, that things might be different because Canada may have chose to use french PMs and not english ones. That'd mean that a border could move in a small way. 100 west might have 110.123 or something. that .123 might not mean much, but for towns like lloydminster (OTL, divided by the border) it'd make a huge difference.

Actually most of the American state boundaries were set according to the Washington Meridian, so it might not make much difference.
 
I wonder... what if we used New York City's meridian as "prime meridian"? (Under the OTL Greenwich Prime Meridian system, 74 degrees west runs right through Manhattan, making that an easy reference point. Ironically, it runs through Greenwich Village.)
