How plausible is a sneak attack via the Canche river to secure the County of Bolougne and French Flanders during the War of Spanish Succession? I'm imagining something of an earlier attempt by the Brits (with some assistance from the Dutch) at amphibious attacks that they would come to perfect during the 7 years war. I also thought of the Somme but that seemed too far into France proper.
Additionally could Calais and Duinkirk be besieged from the sea. This could help split french forces in the S. Nederlands even further.
