War of 1812

Hi, Im just wondering what you think a total British victory in the war of 1812 would look like. I guess I'm asking what sort of peace, or postwar situation could be expected.

All of the British claim of Maine plus a western border somewhere in the middle of present-day Minnesota.

And then you can say goodbye to any chance of serious American claims on Oregon.

For a complete British victory you would need several things:
  • Great Britain not to be preocupied with the Napoleonic Wars in Europe
  • Great Britain to take the offensive prosture as apposed to the Defensive position. Brock was told not to do anything to provoke the Americans.
  • For the Americans to loose the Midwest Tecumseh would need to alive.
  • America to fuck up even more than it did in 1812.

Along with everything already mentioned, perhaps a more "successful" Hartford Convention too?

A secession of New England wouldn't even be necessary, just the convention's report and resolutions being presented to Congress by the convention's commissioners before news of the Treaty of Ghent reached Washington would be enough to cause a lot of problems.

Have the Convention begin and end a week earlier and quite a bit of feces could hit the rotary ventilation device.
