Walther Wever lives, but...

...Ernst Udet is still around and championing dive bombers as inspector of fighters. Using his connections with Göring, he gets Wever to convert the Junkers Ju 88 into one, like Udet did when he took over the technical office after Wever's death. My question is then, without Udet actually in charge of the development of the Ju 88, does it come into service slightly earlier than OTL?

The delay was due to the redesign into a Dive Bomber. The only way to get the JU-88 earlier- is not to build it into a dive bomber.

Except he wouldn't have any power to do so in his role IOTL. As it was Goering was having to use all his influence to force the Bf110 on Wever; given Wever's military status and connections Goering had relatively limited power in interfering in the running of the Luftwaffe so long as Wever lived, which is why when Wever died Goering was so quick to push Udet into a position of power and sideline Milch, as it finally gave him control over the Luftwaffe in practice rather than just appearance.
