How can the Germans and Russians switch roles?
- March '39 : Hitler takes rest of Czechoslovakia and Memelland
- March '39 : Britain and France declare polish Guarantee
- May '39 : "renewal" of Franco-Polish alliance signed (but not "ratified" until 4.Septembre (Oohhh too late:p)
POD part I
Some polish nationalists/milittaries, with thought of french help in the back make some silly boasting against Russia as well as against Germany => Stalin gets pissed and somehow obsessed by paying the polish the defeat of 1921 back.

- Summer '39 german-polish quabbels about Danzig start
- August '39 : double-door diplomacy in Moscow :door one : the german delegation, door two : the anglo-french delegation
POD part II
Some unwise comments of a french (?) on Stalins requests for "free hand" in Poland - and some other countries east of Vistula - "remember the miracle at the Vistula (Cud nad Wisla)" (Oohh Stalin even more pissed)

- 23.August '39 : Molotov-Ribbentrob pact signd
- 25.August '39 : Polish-British Common Defense Pact signed
- 31.August '39 : Hitler again postpones the attack on Poland one-more time

POD part III
- 1.Septembre '39 : Hitler's pissed, his personal adjutant has wake up him at 10:00 local time Berlin already
"Mein Führer, come to the radio Stalin on air"
Radio : " At 04:00 clock this morninmg (Moscow time) the glorius Red Army began liberating the polish people from its capitalistic-militarist dictators, who attacked innocent member of an ukrainian kolchos."(I am sure, the NKVD can come up with something much more ... substantial than the SD did with the Gleiwitz station. ;) )
- Hitler rages : another war taken away (1st: Britain does Munich agreement, 2nd : now Stalin takes Poland away)
- but ... the General Staff AND the people in germany rejoce : WOW another war spared ... yet

How it goes in Poland first week/10days (?):
-polish Narew Group tries to counter Byelorussian Front somewhere east of Grodno and gets crushed
- polish Carthatian army rushes to Lwow only to get encircled and crushed by Ukrainian Front
- then polish Cracow can set up a first resistance about at the San river
- polish Gereal Reserve and Lodz army rush to set up a resistence just west the Vistula around Lublin
- parts of Posnan and Pomorze Armies rush to the defense of Warsaw
- Batlle of Lublin begins : polish forces between the pincers of Ukrainian Armygroup from south and Byelorussian Army group from north

- 14.Septembre '39 (about)
When SU forces of the Ukrainian front cross the Vistula, effectivle encirling the bulk of polish forces Hitler declares the polish state as non-existent anymore and german troop invade, wiping away whats left of polish armies.
Meeting of SU-troop and german forces at the southern outskirts of Warsaw.
At the same day german forces march into Lithunia after a "distress call" from its goverment looking for protection - against a possible SU-Threat.

- 20.Septembre '39 : German-Soviet Frontier Treaty is signed. Beside giving the Suwalki-corner to the germans but moving their border from the Narew to the rivers Mlawka ans Giedniowka (west of the city of Mlawa) as in the secret amandement to the German-Soviet Non-agression pact.
- also : german Generals tell Hitler its too late in the year for any action in the west.

Has France finally ratified the renewed Franco-Polish alliance yet ? ... or postponed it for wait and see ?
However, the formula or "The state of Poland has ceased to exist" would give a nice excuse to NOT go to war against either Germany or Stalin ... at this moment.
