W.I Egypt had kept pharaonic's religion ?

W.I Christianism had'nt managed to become the dominant religion in Egypt at IV° and V° A.C and so pharaonic's religion stayed n°1 in Egypt ?

Would Ra, Amon, Osiris and Anubis follower fight better against muslim invaders after 632 ?

Would a pharaonic Egypt seek in a prime time to recover it independance from the Christian Roman Eastern Empire ?

Thanks by advance for your bright thoughts !

For starters, the development of Christianity would be severely affected. Egyptian clergy played a major role in the theological conflicts that defined the Christian dogma.

Maybe an Egyptian or a Greek who become praefect of Egypt (so meaning have the Roman citizenship and be in the ordo equester) could try to declare Egypt indipendent and proclamed himself pharaon, maybe with the support of the Partians. But I see a possible POD only after the third century.
