Vote for Alternate State Flags: Arkansas

So I don't know what the interest will be like for this but over in the American Politics thread we were discussing alternate state flags because so many of the current ones are so terrible. We were able to find 5 projects that have created flags for all 50 States. I want to know what AH.com thinks of these attempts. If the projects use the same flag as OTL I am not going to include it so there may not always be six options.

Yeah. I mean the pinecone flag is nice and all, but I... I don't understand...

Also general rule of thumb: if you have to write your name down on the flag to help people tell who you are, you have already lost.

A poor choice, don't like any of the flags really. Went with the Reunion flag because once again their symbol looked like the symbol of an evil space empire.

According to the website the pinecone represents their nickname "The Natural State" ...why? The Bressler group version is actually an older version of their flag and the two options are quite similar but I like the first one because the stars subtly form another diamond out of their arms. Oh and the Reunion one is... weird like always.

Taking it back because the more I look at this, the more I realize the pineconeless designs kind of don't work without the words.

Otherwise all you're left with is all stars. All the time.

I'm starting to think I might should have voted for bressler group because it retains elements of the original but cuts down on the number of stars to make it more managable... I hate the pinecone and words personally.

Voted for Bressler Group because the fourth star needs to go imo. But the colors should be closer to the current one, then it'd be amazing.

That's basically the original suggestion by the flag's designer. The legislature added the 4th star and the name.

FYI, I just edited my page. Seeing that tiny "karnell" flag convinced me to make all the images on the page clickable so you can see the original, full resolution file, either hosted on the site itself or on a relevant wiki page. It's not particularly relevant for Arkansas, which is basically the same as u/5theye's design (though I do like his angled stars), but it will let you post the full versions of the other flags that I picked, tweaked, or made.
(edit - I did this for all the images of redesigns. I didn't bother linking the OTL flags because they are easy to find.)

Went with Stage Flag Redesigns version, because the OTL is okay but I don't like the inclusion of the actual state name into it. Just comes off tacky and ruins an otherwise alright design.

Any is better than OTL. The two most idiotic things to put on a national or state flag are the (1) name of the place, or (2) its geographic shape. I prefer the state flag redesigns because they keep the tradition and overall design (which isn't bad) but ditch the name. However if Tennessee and Arkansas ever go to war it will be a bitch to tell one from the other on the battlefield.
