Vietnam: UN peacekeeping force on DMZ

Is there any way during the Vietnam War that a UN blue helmet force could've been deployed between RVN & DRV ? With what effects ?

There was one put there. I've got a book written by a Canadian general who served in it in a box somewhere, and I'll have to get it out, but I remember that there were Poles, Yugoslavs, Indians, and Canadians on it. They had tennis courts that would frequently get hit by mortar fire.

This was after Paris I believe the OP meant during the US involvement.

It wouldn't be like Korea and would have little effect. The North was determined to uphold international law, especially the Geneva Conventions, in order to make it seem like a legitamate civil war with a foreign imperialist power involved. Of course the NVA and VC simply just used Laos and Cambodia to get to the South but that was pretty well spinned.
