Inspired by the other Vietnam thread. During the Vietnam War, South Korea sent forces over to back up the US. Is it plausible for North Korea to attempt another invasion of the South over this? What would China do, and how would the US react?

North Korea sent raiding teams south in attempts to kill President Park during the same time, 1967 thru 1968 and made a fool of President Johnson by taking the USS Peblo. With the US Navy and Air Force doing nothing ( the same as they did Nothing about the USS Liberty ). This lack of responce by both the US and South Korea could have caused the North to think they could have attacked and got away with it.
