OOC: Yes, its this again!

Mr. Gosing, in your TL, are people fed up of these silly half baked roleplays?

Do the words 'Stop' 'the' 'stupid' 'VFAUs' mean anything to you?

OOC: Hey, nobody's holding a gun to your head; I for one enjoy these. :D

IC: Alright, where you're from, who are the global superpowers?

Does the United States of America mean anything to you?

Who is the President?

What's in the news? (you have news right?)

What and where were you drinking?

OOC: I could type a long and detailed post in defence of the VFAU's (what does that stand for, BTW?) but I'll just thank you for calling me Mr., direct you to the below poster, and remind you that you forgot to put OOC in your post.

IC: What the hell is a VFAU?

1) The US is, certainly, as is Russia. France is a regional power that can project power on the global stage if it needs to, as are Austria and (though this really stretches the definition of "superpower") Brazil. Britain would like you to think that they're a power, but they've been going downhill sice he Indian Calamity. There are a plethora of semi-regional powers that I can't list right now.

2/3) The United States of America is a large North American state that is one of the four nations of that continent, with Mexico, Canada and Newfoundland. The President is currenly Mathew F. Smithe.

4) The only recen news of note are the Cerist uprisings in Rhodesia and Uruguay (both crushed immeadiately; I'm sure they'll win eventually!) and the wave of riots in Peking

5) I was in Wyoming, and as I assumed nobody lived there, I took out my six-packs of cheap scotch (don't ask) and drank until I got here.

Have you had any "world wars"?

Do these names mean anything to you?

John C Calhoun
Abraham Lincoln
Teddy Roosevelt

Benjamin Disaraeli
William Gladstone
HH Asquith

Napopleon
Napoleon III

Otto von Bismarck
Wilheim II

Franz Josef

Cerist? Can we assume this is some sort of agrarian populist movement?

Yeah. Nasty, nasty people-I can sympathise with down-and-out farmers, bu Neo-Roman Revival? Seriously?

1) No. Unless you count the Allied Wars, which were bloody, but short and confined to Europe.

2) The first two were American statesmen, the third sounds British but means nothing to me. The next two are British PMs, the sixth also means nothing. The Bismark one means nothing, and Wilhelm sounds like a German monarch, but you'd need to be more specific on the country. The last one is an Austrian Emperor.

Is Britain still a Kingdom in your world? And does it rule all of the British Isles, or just part?

Aye, its still a monarchy, and it rules the whole of the British Isles (though Ireland is due for its next revolt in a couple of years). They also have a lot of bis and bobs all over, but none of them really have any value.

If this is a roleplay thread, it belongs either in Shared Worlds or in the Sandbox.

OOC: Well, I'll ask an Admin to move it if it needs to be moved, but the rest of the VFAUs have been in he Post/Pre-1900 Forums

OOC: I didnt post as OOC because it was completely in character. I am telling you to stop in character. Anyway, Im not one to bitch on and on, I will just tell you that these things are stupid and leave.

what is the drinking age where you live?

is there military conscription?

could Canada kick America's ass in a war?

to what extent did/does America and/or other countries circa 19th century and/or more recently have slavery? are former slaves or people descended from slaves/former slaves allowed to vote?

is chicken-fried steak legal?

Abraham Lincoln was President of the US, elected 1860, during the US Civil War (1861-65) and assassinated during said war's final stages. Correct?

What can you tell us about the Allied Wars?

When did Franz Josef die, and who was his successor?

Also, you didn't comment on Napoleon III (I assume at this point you know of the first one); and does the Marquis of Salisbury mean ring a bell?
