Venice Loses the War of the League of Cambrai

The War of the League of Cambrai was intended to dismember Venice's European possessions and divide them up amongst the victors. So let's say that happens, when Venice loses the war. Austria gets Istria and much of Friuli. France-backed Milan gets the far western part of the territory, and the Papal States would get Ravenna. the Republic was to be reduced basically to the city of Venice and its Mediterranean holdings.

What impact would this have on Venice? Would it break them fully, a blow they would never recover fom? Or could the lack of territory in Europe remove distraction from Venice and allow them to prosper again? What do you think the effects of a Venetian loss would be?

I presume that France has also lost at this point?

I think I have a POD for this - Ferdinand of Aragon sends his armies to meet the English forces sent from Southampton to Gascony by France, instead of signing a hasty peace treaty, and Maximilian fulfils his promise of a joint attack on Paris (as not done IOTL). This kicks France out of the war and leaves her unable to aid Venice in Italy, or indeed to defend her Italian possessions. I did something like this in This Fair Conjunction.

Are we talking during the Venice-Papal alliance or the French-Venetian alliance? There were shifting level of alliances at this time.

Probably France has lost too. So if that POD does work, what would happen to the losers?

I had France losing Gascony and Normandy to Britain, and with the various French-occupied Burgundian lands being incorporated into the Empire as Habsburg holdings.

Did Venice lose anything?

EDIT: seems like they probably would have, so what would happen had they lost most of their possessions on mainland Europe?
