I hope everyone enjoyed the new Part 7 above

It’s been a long time, but recently I’ve found myself curious about this TL. I enjoyed writing it and would like to take a crack at continuing it.

After reading the whole TL and all the comments, I’ve found things I like and don’t like both about it, and myself as the author. Some loose ends, shaky story foundations, over confidence in myself and in Venice, arrogance, transparent writing style, etc…

Whatever has been written is written. However through these faults, I still see a viable story, and, though some feats were too easily achieved, I believe that Venice in its current state ITTL is possible in the ways it’s reached it.

Going forward I intend for this TL to be far better researched and written, to the best of my abilities. I still look forward to feedback, but won’t be so forthcoming with insights into future parts, giving away the plot before it is written.

To new and old readers, kindly disregard anything suggested in the prior comments that I have agreed with in terms of it happening, because I've decided on some major differences.

Here’s to the future of Venice!

After a long time you returned to the forum.
Great updated after four years of stand by. I thought that the storyline was definetively dead. I hope you will continue the thread.

It's been 4 years, are you still reading? Help me help you

It's been a few days since the last update and there's been virtually no new comment activity on the TL, though it's racked up nearly 1,000 new views. I'm concerned that new readers may be finding the flaws that I found when re-reading it, and aren't bothering to continue.

After re-immersing myself in the AH forum, I've noticed that some TLs are being re-rewritten from the beginning, such as IE. I'm wondering who is still reading this TL (other than Adriano, if any), and if the popular opinion is to go back and provide a more detailed, more realistic edition of this TL.

I realize some may think that if one can produce better work anyways, one should go back and produce it. I may end up doing it anyways. At the moment I'm just trying to gauge the interest. Maybe the TL is being read but readers just aren't commenting, and want to wait and see more new parts, in which case I wouldn't have them start from the bottom again.

It's been 4 years, I just want to know where we stand...

Just discovered this and it's a real pleasure to see a Venice-centric TL in this sea of Byzantine wankers. :D (I enjoy some of those, too).

My 2 cents, especially since you have written this over several years: re-write it. Edit the flaws in realism you see and reboot this! I'd read it.
