The Russo-Japanese War seemed to have been a source of validation for three principle mindsets that would shape world history in the following forty years.
1. Through the use of superior numbers and lives an attacking force could, despite great loss of life, overcome a defending military force equipped with trenchworks, barbed wire, bunkers, and machine guns.
2. Japanese Militarism and Imperial Ambitions were validated and sent Japan into a fierce mindset of Bushido .
3. Russia was weak and becoming weaker on the world stage.
If the Russians had won or if even the entire conflict had persisted in a bloody stalemate what sort of effects would the reverse of the above have had?
The numerous military attaches would have seen how bad modern warfare was becoming and subsequently changed tactics?
The Japanese Imperialism or Fanatical Bushido would have taken a hit. Weakening such extremist political groups affiliated with that form of political fascism? A later attack by the Japanese seems likely, but if it was similarly defeated then it would have broken Imperialist ambitions?
Russia's Monarchy may have been more able and Russian influence in Asia would have grown?
