The V1 drone is a very simple weapon to construct, what if the Germans had developed it in WW1?
The pulsejet motor was invented according to the Wikipedia in 1906, so the knowledge was there. In the original timeline development of the V1 started in Feb 1942 and by Dec 1942, tests had begun, that is less than a year.
Say in response to the deadlock of the trenches on the Western Front in 1914, the Germans had a genius of inventor and he/she came up with a V1 drone. If it takes as long as WW2, probably by mid-1916, Paris starts to be hit by V1s this will continue into 1918 at least.
There is no way a ww1 fighter can intercept a V1 and antifire is primitive, so few will be shot down.
German spies in Paris are much more useful than German spies in WW2 in London so the Germans will be getting accuracy reports.
Now, what happens?
