V-The Second Generation

I, too, was fascinated by "V" as a youngster. In fact, I still have a number of the "V" paperback novels in my book collection.

Odds are, I'll get more into "V" as the new follow-up mini-series and novel release dates draw nearer. BTW, what is the status of the new mini-series? I haven't heard squat about it but, then again, neither have I been exactly scouring the Internet for information.

According to the site "Work continues with Warner Bros to get the mini-series into production and on the air." Apparently the book and the miniseries will ignore the events of V The Final Battle and V the Series-both of which the creator Kenneth Johnson wasnt invovled in and didnt like. I'm eagerly looking forward to V with todays special effects!

I have some of the books as well as both miniseries and the series. I had watched Star Trek ,Buck Rogers and Battlestar Galactica as a kid but I have to credit V for really getting me into Sci-Fi.

The new mini-series is going to ignore some of the previous canon, eh? Oh, well. This is an alt history Web site ... so, we'll just say the timelines split at some point and go on our merry way!

Heh. Looks pretty good! It's not being released until Oct. 2, but that's not a problem for me — I've got more than 10 books on my "must-read" stack at home that I've yet to start. Yeesh! Time is fleeting, I tell you!

Cant wait for this myself-Its been a 20 year wait-but worth it,

I so love autumn. It's when good books start coming out en masse, it seems. God, my "to-read" stack at home is only going to get deeper.

Must ... make ... time ... to ... READ!

Hmm ... so the novel's been delayed, huh? Oh, well. That gives me more time to finish up a writing project and perhaps dig into another book. I'm thinking I might start out with "Wicked" by Gregory Maguire.

It'll be interesting. I liked the original mini-series, but wasn't a fan of either V: The Final Battle, or V: The Series, though I liked Michael Ironside as Ham Tyler.

Admittedly I was in fifth grade when it came out, so for all I know, if I resaw it I'd be singing a different tune.
