USSR stays in WW1

What would happen if Lenin broke his promise to the Germans and after taking over Russia joins the entente and continue to fight the Axis.

Would the USSR be more powerful later on?

Would the First World War end sooner?

Would the Whites still get the same amount of help in the Russian Civil War?

It was not as they didn't wanted to stay in the war and spread the revolution, it was just that they realized (unlike Nicky and Kerensky) that Russia lacked resources and strength to continue the war.

Yes but what if ignoring the fact they cant the strain they continue anyway knowing that the end for Germany is only a matter of time.

They'd be in a sticky political situation. Whoever was going to win eventually, the war was a disaster for the Russian people. They were starving and dying. Kerensky's biggest mistake was failing to swallow his and Russia's pride and make peace, and the Reds milked that for all it was worth. Land, bread, and peace.

"Uh yeah, actually, we're staying in the war. Which means the bread thing may not materialise. And then land we gave you is going to be ocucpied by the Germans soon. Bye!"

While Germany is certainly still going down, the combined pressure of the Reichsheer and the greater discontent this will cause could lead to a Red collapse and will certainly change the nature of the *USSR pretty drastically.

chances are that the USSR will never exist. The revolution in Russia will become so bad that everything erupts into anarchy. You might see the menshevicks (however you spell it) take over and a more democratic russia emerge, hell a chance that the Whites might get more public cupprt if they show off the Bolsheviks as wanting to continue the war. If Germany Wins in the West (HIGHLY UNLIKELY) The Germans will likely send vast forces into their conquered regions to keep them from turning red, Then you will see groups similar to the friekorps move into Petrograd and the other major western russian cities and place pro-german whites in power. You might even see a pro german Czar put back in place ina nominal position with a government similar to Germany's.

You'd see a third Russian Revolution. The people wanted peace above all things, and what let to both the February and the October Revolutions were promises of peace by the revolutionaries. If the Bolsheviks prove unable to secure a peace with Germany, then the people would rebel once more, either spontaneously without direction, or under the banner of some group, most likely the Menshevik Internationalists.
