USA Nipissing Ontario - Indian Reserve?

If the Ontario peninsula was given to the USA in the Treaty of Paris, what do you think are the chances of Washington and Knox making the territory into a long term Indian Reserve for tribal people in the northwest and northeast?

Could this defuse, or prevent the Northwest Indian War? Would the resettlements all be a peaceful treaty negotiation, or eventually turn into a northern Trail of Tears? Would there be a peaceful cooperation between the different resettled tribes, the formation of a grand confederation, or would they wage wars between themselves? Would settlers and later Administrations eventually infringe upon this early attempt at peace?

Also, could the US have got that part of Ontario, as welln and Minnesota?
In a word ..... NO.

The entire proposal lasted as long as it took to present it in London. THere upon it was immediatey evident Parliament would NEVER pass it. Hence the following rejoinder, given events among the allies. The response was that the NE boundary would lie at the Penobscot, the Quebec act boundary on the Ohio was final with the NW included in BNA, territory beyond the proclamation line south of the Ohio would remain a joint reserve for the civilized tribes. Obviously compromise HAD to occur.

The Achilles heel of the colony's bargaining position was their erstwhile allies that had enabled their victory. That initial proposal was a non starter from the get go.
