US politics in a CSA victorious TL

How would US politics go on if the Confederation remained independent?

Some differences for the various possibilities?

- War start as IOTL.
- Different circumstances to the start of the war, with different Union or/and CS president.

- The US abandonne the war for now but intend to strike back later.
- The US accept the independence of the confederate states.

- The US may loose significant territories to Canada.
- Only minor border changes.

- The British are satisfied with statue KO.
- The British doesn´t want the US to become a great power and/or expand anywhere beyond its "traditional" territories.

- The european powers mererly maintain their alliance in North America.
- They later begin to expand their colonial empire into central and south america.

- Glorious democracy, liberality for all. :D
- TTL fascisme is called Unionism.

What?

No takers?

What would be the effects of a cold war lasting from 1865 to 2010?

PS: Plz mov to pre-1900 forum.

Republicans are screwed for sure. What happens to the two party system from then on? Do the Republicans go away entirely, change and realign, some other party come to fill the void, what?
