What if the US kept a true neutral policy in WW2? This means no lend lease, no loans, no bases for destroyers. Lets assume that the POD is Roosevelt's death in the early 30's due to polio or a heart attack and the victory of the Republicans in the '36 elections. So truly it is a neutral America, as the Republicans don't want the entanglements left over from WW1. The policies against Japan would still remain in effect however.
Basically, does GB seek terms after the fall of France, or does the lack of American equipment cause the Allies to seek terms after the fall of Poland? Can Britain fight on by itself past 1942 when the become insolvent and what becomes of Russia when the communist hating Republicans prevent help to Russia?
