US inciting Quebec to revolt in AH British-American Wars

So a common feature of AH British-American Wars (for the purposes of discussion: ARW, 1812, Oregon Dispute, Trent War, wars of revenge after a CSA secession, an alt-WWI, and an alt-WWII) is to have Quebec secessionists jump on the bandwagon, often being supported or even incited by Americans. My questions are: is this realistic? How effective is American propaganda and agitation gonna be given the language and cultural values gap? The further back you go, the less sophisticated such attempts would be, I'd assume. Presumably, the situation in Quebec rather than the sophistication of the propaganda and agitation would be more important though. So what would be the difference in likelihood of a Quebec armed revolt during the AH wars listed above?

I'll just put it this way, in none of those wars do they have any reason to listen to American propaganda as anything other than the messages of the enemy.

And the American Revolution, where Quebec is not being treated as "harshly" as the Thirteen, no less than the others, despite its lukewarm acceptance of British rule - it certainly has no reason to prefer British-in-America rule.

The Quebecois fears the United States. Within the British Empire they were allowed to keep their sense of individuality, their culture, their language, their government remainly largely unchanged from when they had been a French Colony now they were within the British System. From America they saw expansionism and they worried about how such an aggressive power would effect their own individuality, they worried that they would lose what made them Canadiens within the American system and feared independence from Britain would leave them dependent on the US or easy picking for them.

Following the American Civil War this fear became greater because not only was the US seen as aggressive and expansionist but then they had a large battle tested army with which to achieve its aims, this was, in a large way, a reason for the Unification of Canada.

In short, Quebec preferred the devil it knew, as did the other Canadian Provinces.
