Not sure if the author is on this forum but looking forward to this one.

July 6, 2021, President Hamilton will be released nationwide.

This came out on November 2.

It's actually really good - got to read the eARC a few months ago, in a potential review for Analog of all things (only got dropped because one book per publisher, and editor there chose a different book from Baen). AH spy novel centered on (as you might have guessed) an attempt to save the Romanov family from the Bolsheviks. Also, the rare AH book with a zeppelin on the cover to actually make one central to the plot.

I know Kratman can be divisive, but this is very much Ezell and Watson's baby, which I think helps the novel tremendously, Ezell being an experienced AH writer, and Watson being a promising new one.

I just read info about it over on Baen.com, sounds interesting.

Long story short, after years of on and off effort, The Creature was born.
Il Diavolo Senza Corna (The Hornless Devil) was published as an e-book a few weeks ago.
It's in Italian, I didn't trust my English to the point of writing an entire f*****' novel.
(The underlying timeline file, though, WAS and is in whatever English I can manage).
The premise is the early demise of certain historical figures of, ahem, importance, in the Interbellum Europe.
Plus the existence of at least another couple "deus ex machina" figures, unknown to our times (so the POD would perhaps be found in the XIXth century in unremarkable families with certain surnames).
The developments after that are as unlikely as they are, IMHO, intriguing.

It's a BIG novel., more than a hundred small(ish) chapters, in rigorous chronological order.
If printed, it would be quite thick and heavy.
It was born out of the timeline, as an amateurish attempt at writing that I eneded up in a final rush after I found a publishing house, Delos, specialised in science fiction, and and an author of alternate history and manager there gladly helped me publish.
Now it's out there in the cold unknown.
Without any attention, it won't go anywhere.
If someone here has some knowledge or love of Italian, is studying the language, etc., it may make for an interesting read.
Furthermore, it costs next to nothing in comparison to its massive scope.
And contrary to common sense, I still hope to see some minimal income from it.

You can get it here:

Il diavolo senza corna

Un certo caporale tedesco muore nelle trincee della prima guerra mondiale e un sanguinario commissario bolscevico viene ucciso poco dopo per vendetta. Il mondo cambia drasticamente.

And obviously in several other platforms (just Google it).

If only a couple of you read it, I'll be satisfied.

Here's one I didn't expect - Astronaut Chris Hadfield writing AH:

A Soviet space station in lunar orbit. A top-secret military-oriented Apollo mission. A murdered astronaut on Earth and his temperamental replacement. The one-eyed flight controller at Cape has a bad gut feeling, and he wants answers fast...

Evidently he wrote for Baen for years.

Speaking of Baen... anybody see the cover for the next Ring of Fire spinoff?

I know 1632 has some detractors - frankly doing other ISOT scenarios with the Ring of Fire is long overdue, it's fresh - but fuck me if that's not one of the greatest book covers I've ever seen. You son of a bitch, I'm in.
