While I know that it would be extremely unlikely for the Germans to simply deport tens of millions of Eastern Europeans even if they had the ships or territory to put them at, I am interested in how it could best be executed. Having Russians and Jews working on roads or breaking rocks until only the strongest are left (which apparently meant that they were a threat instead of aryans incognito or something) is all very good and well when trying to waste as much labor as possible and ruin cities, but it seems that they could have gotten the same benefits from using forced labor from France done humanly. Probably sounding wierd now though.

Anyways, what areas would the Eastern Europeans (and intellectuals, Jews, Serbs, Slovens, Gypsies, etc.) do best in, where might their presence be best for the holder of the colonies, and which countries would want them? The Spanish wanted a large central African colony so that they would be able to tap labor. The Afrikaners would likely be happy to get large chunks of white meat to act as janisarries or to populate the less desirable areas. Would the Italians go for a trade in which they got rid of the Germans in their own European areas in exchange for stuffing Ethiopia with Catholic Poles?

They would not deport the 'problem' they would put them on trains heading to Concentration camps until there's none left or none that can be found. Then the Nazi's would probably turn their eyes on other races, change their policies and declare them untermensch. Then its a train trip and a 'shower' or worked to death.

How is it nice to suggest that they would sell tens of millions of people as slaves, drop them in malaria stricken areas, then have them duke it out with the locals over whatever food can be found? I was bringing this up because of the multiple times I read suggestions about it that were considered by the Nazis, as well as the needs of their associate powers to the south. That and it could be an interesting though thought excercise. You can have the point of divergence by at any time during the war or to include the Germans regaining a colony before or during the start of it (Hitler gave as an example that he would have taken only Guinea if the had British dropped out of the war quickly)

Why move them all that way, when you can work them to death? At least that way the untermensch serve the Reich.

Moving people around and just dumping them in africa is inefficient, the Germans needed slave labour, getting rid of them to another country does not help the Reich so it won't be done.

They went out of their way to kill several million without trying to even get ANY labor from them. They may have seen the possibility of working Slavs to death in the disease filled tropics or to use it as a self replenishing slave pen. As for efficiency... Yah, that was not something the Germans did well with.

They planned on sending the intellectuals of Eastern Europe off the continent as well as considered sending Slavs to some African colonies they might get. Maybe we should all just look at this as the effects of millions of white people being dropped off on the African coast at put to work.

That idea originated in Poland actually.

Prior to the war the Nazis really didn’t care where the Jews went, just as long as they went and as long as they left their money behind. Adolf Eichmann even went to British mandated Palestine in 1937 and met with representatives of the Zionist Council and the Haganah to discuss how best to facilitate rapid, large scale Jewish emigration from the Third Reich.

The migration would be one of the biggest in human history, sending several million or more people across the world. Rapid, mass, forced migrations rarely do very well for anyone really.

I'd doubt many colonies would want the migrants either, if they had the choice. Local settlers were often anti mass immigration, in the Depression, or of people who were not of their kind (whatever that may be). Let alone what the indigenous peoples think!
