President John Jay is term limited and there are numorous candidates for his seat on the Executive Council.

Slight correction.

Only candidates from Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York are eligible.

All states vote, but the candiate has to come from the aforementioned states.

Eligible Candidates

Clinton
King
Mifflin
Paterson

Term limited? How so? Until FDR, there were no limits on how many times you could be elected.
That was my reading too. First election was unusual in setting up 2 and 4 year positions to allow 2year offsets for later.
I'd suggest that the nature of having a triune might lessen fears about dictatorship so unlimited standing would be more acceptable even if discussion on limits occurs earlier due to questions on seniority within a completely shared executive.

Jefferson is replaced with Jay.

I missed the first vote! To recap: George Washington of Virginia and John Adams of Massachusetts are incumbent (with 4 and 2 years left on their terms, respectively), and John Jay of New York is up for re-election to a full 6 year term now. (correct me if I am wrong)

I cast my ballot for Rufus King, Hamilton's man on the inside, recently imported from ol Massachusetts!
