ITTL the British leave all it's South East asian colonies as a single united federal strong nation called " The Federal Republic of India" .It consists of OTL India , Pakistan ,Myanmar (Burma), Bangladesh, Malaysia ,Sri Lanka ,Maldives,Singapore ,Nepal and Bhutan .It became independent as a dominion in 1949 ( the shift from 1947 as decolonizing such a big country was a time consuming task) and overnight had the second biggest military in Asia (after the ussr) with overall having 10 million active troops and 15 million reserve.it became a huge economic giant in the global stage an even started to rival the American economy in the 1980s .In 1953 the tension with china(PRC) started to rise .With this rise in tension The F. R. I(The Federal Republic of India) made economic treaties and huge lucrative business contacts with the traditional Chinese enemies i. e ROC(Republic of China /Taiwan ),South Korea, Japan and USA in 1954,1956,1955 and 1957 Respectively which skyrocketed the FRI - PRC Tensions as the PRC saw this as an attempt to corner PRC. Finally the last straw was drawn when the FRI , on 8th May 1961, blocked the Straight of Malacca for Ships of the PRC (both military and merchant) as they declared that " the PRC was a warlord which lingered from the warlord era of China and then warlord had also occupied the peaceful nation of Tibet and that until they released Tibet and gave Tibet total Independence they would continue this blocked. Following this blocked The FRI also put an Mineral and weapons embargo on China along with the NATO countries, Thailand, Philippines, Mexico ,Brazil, Chile, Peru ,Argentina, Ecuador, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa ,Israel, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Oman, North Yemen ,Papua New Guinea and Panama . The above countries also bared PRC from using the waters 200 nautical miles from there coastline by declaring war on the specific country by violating this declaration . Having been bared or blocked from using every trade route available and not being able to trade with almost half of the world's countries the PRC's leaders exploded in anger and decided to remove the bringer of this massive trouble to them -

The FRI having seen this coming long long ago, had started slowly concentrating there troops along the Chinese and Indonesian border. What followed was a war at the scale of World War one latter dubbed the Great Eastern war or World War Three as this soon pulled in Indonesia , North Vietnam and Laos(Later called the Commentern) on the side of PRC on 1962 3rd January(Indonesia) and 5th February (Laos and North Vietnam) . And Australia, Papua New Guinea, France, Portugal , ROC(Republic of China /Taiwan ) and South Vietnam(Later called the Anti-Commentern) on the side of FRI On 1962 4th January (Australia and Papua New Guinea) and 7th February (France, Portugal, ROC(Republic of China /Taiwan ) and South Vietnam).The FRI one day after the declaration of war had in return declared war on PRC and invaded South China. Using Blitzkrieg Tactics they soon defeated almost half of the PRC Army And had captured most of the regions of Tibet( Xizang) and Yunnan .After the declarations of war by the rest of the Commentern on FRI and later the Anti-Commentern, and the declarations of war by the rest of the Anti-Commentern on PRC and the Commentern, the FRI Quickly advanced with moderate resistance on the island of Borneo until they were stopped at the center of it .

Soon Australia and Papua New Guinea Captured Indonesian New Guinea. Portuguese forces caputered the other half of timor(As by now east Timor was still a colony of Portugal). FRI and Thai forces caputered the Laos capital (Vientiane) , west Laos and south west Laos. French Forces started to arrive 6 months into the war to aid South Vietnam . By 1963 , 7th October, the FRI forces had cut off North Vietnam from the PRC, captured all of South China and had entered the regions of Guihzou ,Xinjiang , Human and Guangdong.The FRI Forces had also Invaded The Sumatran Island. By the end of
1964 The Indonesian Forces were only in control of the Islands Java and Bali , The Lao and Vietnamese forces had Capitulated and surrendered leading to the surrender of there respective countries and the Anti-Commentern Forces Had captured central, southern and Eastern and western China and were making there way towards Bejing .And by 1966 the last reminants of the PRC's Army surrendered to the Anti-Commentern Forces. The Anti-Commentern Forces had won.
After the war came the division of the lossers :-
1: Australia annexed West Papua (it being oil rich) ,Trangan,Yemdena and the central Maluku Islands.
2Papua New Guinea annexed central Papua and North Maluku
3:Thailand Annexed Laos
4:North VietNam became a French colony again as South Vietnamese economy was almost on the brink of collapse and couldn't have afforded the annexation of North Vietnam into the South
5:The Chinese Regions of Tibet(Xizang),Yunnan ,Sichuan QinGhai,Xinjianand Gansu will form the new Independebt country Of the Kingdom of Tibet(A Protectorate of FRI) .
6: Inner Mongolia will gain Independence as the Republic of Mongolia
7: Hongkong and Maccu will be given way more land and a land border
8: Whatever will be left of Indonesia and China will be annexed by FRI and ROC respectively .
In 1974 FRI will become a nuclear state by developing Nuclear weapons and in 1987 will Invade Iran and re-establish the monarchy there and will declare it "the Persian Empire ".FRI will go to be the second most dominant superpower and a member of the security council of UN in 1995.
As China is not communist North Korea will unite with South Korea in 1994 after Kim Jong il was overthrown and the Republic of Mongolia will unite with communist Mongolia after the fall of the Soviet Union.
