You could also play with the tributary system of China for an interesting geopolitical structure in Asia.

I like it, and I am liking the timeline more and more!

I would love to know more about things beyond America, mainly Europe. Is there any chance of you incorporating a communist version of Germany ITTL?

EDIT: Just saw the "Europe collapsed" and the (as of yet unfinished) world map. What do you think about at least West Germany and/or Prussia being communist?

The more I work out the map, the more I realize this world's superpower is probably the communist middle eastern power.

I'm thinking the USR (Union of Socialist Republics - temporary placeholder...) manages to avoid whatever calamity I end up deciding befalls Europe, and then becomes the leader in international recovery efforts.
