This timeline is weird in that it's really more of a means to justify the ends. The ends being a mostly monarch run world by 2000 and the means being the history of this world that combines several other implausible timelines including my own contribution.

The first event leading to this monarchist world is the creation of the American crown. Based off this video [
]. Either George Washington goes full reverse card after the revolutionary war or the introduction of the Constitution (I could also see the same thing being done by Jackson after 1812). Of course this peculiar action will upset Americans and several states will secede. I was thinking most likely Boston (due to their general rebellious and freedom loving tradition) and Georgia (due to their high amount of loyalists tho that's less likely). This would also put the King of America in a weird position diplomatically, being viewed by other monarchies as illegitimate and by republics as traitorous unless they take more of an enlightened monarch approach.

US expansion will most likely happen the same way it did OTL but with no other power taking them seriously, small patches of land might escape their grasp. American settlers would still rush to Texas, California and the "Wild West" basically. Seeing this however, previous democratic leaders and their followers realize if these territories go to the crown it's influence will double. So they travel to the Wild West with support of the states that had succeeded and try to sway the people there to their side, trying to appeal to their rebellious attitude and mostly libertarian ways. They manage to claim much of the territories that would've gone to the Crown if their western expansion succeeded and eventually begin asserting their legitimacy in those territories.

For the first years they run more like a mafia, using hired guns to eliminate any attempts to dismantle them but over time they start resembling an actual government more. They start setting up what they believe America was supposed to be, though they would be even more libertarian maybe not even proposing a constitution equivalent if the first one resulted in a literal king. The rebellions in Texas and California would still succeed and be annexed into the new USA, thought Mexico would be able to better overpower the rebels and they'd keep more land then they did OTL.

The next unique even is based off this video [
] where Ungern Sternburg somehow takes control of the white army and wins the russian civil war, then becoming the de facto tsar of russia and khan of mongolia. He allies himself with Japan while he proceeds to conquer as much of the mongol empire as he can, instituting friendly monarchs in conquered territory. Him and the other major powers wouldn't pay much attention having just ended the war to end all wars and Ungern only starts to make much of an impact around WW2.

Speaking of WW2, our last unique event happens in Germany. This is probably the least plausible seeing as I didn't get it anywhere from the internet but from the Germany focus tree in bloody hoi4 [https://store.steampowered.com/app/394360/Hearts_of_Iron_IV/]. In this path, after dismantling the Weimar Republic, supporters of Hitler and the Kaiser go into civil war. In my timeline, the civil war reached and agreement where the Kaiser (imma make it Wilhelm cuz he's cool) is the head of the state but Hitler rules in co-operation. Many compromises need to be made in order to keep Germany strong and unified, with both the Kaiser and Fuhrer having roughly the same influence over the country.

Roughly the same thing happens to Italy (for convenience sake mostly)

Events:

WW1 would happen relatively the same. I don't think the USA would think of joining any large conflict, maybe Brittian could reluctantly accept weapons from them tho.

WW2 would be when Japan's relations sour with it's neighbors. They still wish to be the only power in the pacific but this time they have less competition. They instead plan to invade the colonies of powers like Brittian and the Netherlands. They still desire china as well, which makes them value their alliance with Ungern less.

WW2 would start like in our timeline, with Germany either attacking Poland or somewhere else (if Ungern has already taken over Poland) and this angers Brittian and france, starting WW2. Ungern has by now reached a point where he cannot really expand without risking becoming a part of this war, so he must pick a side. By now Germany has invaded much of Europe and Britian is in the same position it was around when D-day was supposed to happen. So Ungern must pick between attacking the Axis, which bordered Russia and held land he desired but was monarchist which alligned with his goal of widespread monarchy (I like to think of him as the Trotsky of Monarchism) or the Allies, which he wasn't really hostile too but was a democratic alliance.

For this timeline I'm going to assume he decides to take advantage of Brittians beloved royal family. He presents the desperate Brittian with a deal, they would have the support of the Khanete and Russia if they agreed to gift powers to the English Crown. Brittian accepts and becomes a de facto monarchy, even though parliment has the ability to suggest laws to the King. Now the allies have the Manpower to stand up against the Axis but they still require the Industry. Brittian has always held a grudge against the American crown and even protected the democratic rival of Boston and the new USA. However, Ungern does something to persuade America and gets them and their industry to join the allies. To do this tho, Brittian is forced to break their protection of the American democracies, making them feel betrayed and draw closer to France (the only truly democratic world power at the time)

In light of these recent developments tho, Japan decides that the time to strike is now, resulting in them launching a pearl harbor like attack on one of Brittian's or Holland's colonies therefore calling in the Allies against Japan. I'm not sure how well they would do but I'd imagine they'd be hard to take out without the help of Brittian's navy (then occupied in Europe) since Russia's one isn't that good. The allies then carry out WW2 as they did in OTL and Japan is taken out after Brittian's navy is free to use in the East.

The world after WW2 is again similar to OTL (though I'd like to see a version where the Axis wins). France creates the Democratic league to at least protect the democracies left in the world but is still reluctantly friendly to monarchist brittian. A cold war like situation is created in Europe, possibly even with British controlled japan, tho in this timeline it isn't really a rivalry of ideas or ideologies but more of a rivalry between eastern and western civilization/culture or just the regular royal rivalries of the feudal age. MAD would still be a thing so no war between the two and I doubt any plans for spying or dismantlement would even exist either. Maybe something more like the race to Berlin or the space race. More of an economic or technological competition than anything. I'm not even sure if it'll ever end

The world by 2000:

The Russo-mongol khanete have lost their almost deified leader Ungern Sternburg. Their might and influence still is formidable though inevitably expansion has stopped. With the loss of Ungern tho, for the first time in it's existence the great khan and tsar will be very separate entities

The British Empire: Brittian has been for the most part successful in keeping all their overseas territories. They're similar to the US in OTL as the large interventionist western power. They even lead a NATO like alliance that includes western europe, the american crown and all the colonies of these nations.

Iran: Practically a British Protectorate at this point, Iran's shah was never ovethrown and it has remained a monarchy. It's unlikely but I could see Iran being a safe heaven for muslims in the british empire. Possibly even being a nation to give muslim communities too

The Losing Side of WW2 is similar to OTL. Italy and Japan are allied to the british and have been allowed to keep their monarchs. Germany would not be split in this timeline cause there wasn't any actual military hostility like in the cold war. It would instead become an economic neutral zone for both sides.

The American Democracies would be similar to OTL America like it was under the AOC. They would be protected by France and have an even more devoted militia so they would be able to survive for many years.

Greater Arabia: I'd imagine with the discovery of oil fields in Arabia as well as being surrounded by imperialist powers that desire them would push the independent arabian nations to form a unified country/alliance to protect their new wealth. This would either create an co-operatively ruled by absolute monarchs or a selection of pan-arabists/arab socialists but most likely the former. The imperialist powers would now be forced to befriend Arabia instead of invading. They could probably win but they wouldn't want to go through the trouble when diplomatic means are available

The french republic: France would most likely be put into the position the PRC was in OTL. They'd claim to be a republic and for the most part they are but have adopted many monarchist policies to succeed in this new world. They could become a constitutional monarchy similar to 19th century Brittian in OTL. They would keep their colonies.

The Modern Day:

The reason I like this scenario is more thinking about the small changes this timeline makes to the modern day, for instance:

The EU would only exist in Western Europe due to economic competition in with the russo-mongols.

The UN would most likely not exist with the world still being not very globalized. If a UN equivalent existed it would most likely be to secure and continue the dominance of empires

The world would practice some form of capitalism in the sense that private property would be recognized and companies would operate on profit. In the situation of choosing between tradition/religion and profit the former would be prioritized

Al-queda, if it exists, will most likely strike London with 9/11 since it would take OTL USA's role. Brittian could even use this as an excuse to fully annex Afghanistan, growing their empire.

The Internet would be very different in this timeline. Y'know how Russia is practically trying to create their "own internet" now to supposedly curb foreign influence? I'd imagine that happening but with every nation/sphere of influence/language sphere in the world. This would be a great opportunity for governments to expand propaganda and influence into online spheres. Pretty much everything discussed online would follow the same narrative and would be typed in mostly the same language. I'd imagine political discussion being the same.
