Okay, say Britain crushes the American Revolution somehow, or something similar. The main point is that it keeps its American colonies.
What I'm curious about is what does this mean for the slavery debate in the future? Unlike the United States in OTL, the UK is likely to crack down on that earlier. Does this mean the plantation types in the Deep South lose power?
The reason I ask all of this is because I'd be curious to see how the UK, which has a lot of military strength, will handle the debate if it crushes the American Revolution.
