Ukrainian foodstuffs do not reach Germany, 1918

How crucial was the one million tons of food supplies that Germany forced the Ukrainian Hetmanate to ship, to the German war effort in 1918? Let's say that the Germans were not able to get it, for whatever reason (signing the original Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, for example, taking only Poland, Lithuania, and western Latvia). How long do they last without a million tons of food? Anybody have a good professional opinion about it?

Actually, not more than a tenth of that one million tons ever were sent in direction Germany, with even less arriving there.
Had all this food stuff been available to Germany, things might have looked somewhat different in terms of continuing the war. As it was, it was only a dribble that made no difference.
