Ukraine and east of Europe

If this map actually represents the dominant national ethnic/linguistic affiliation in the border regions, it may actually represent ideal borders for Ukraine that would help preserve the nation's independence in the long run. But, as others have said there is no chance that NATO or EU members would begin carving up Ukraine, both because of their support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia and because NATO expansion at the expense of Ukrainian territory would be seen by Russia as a threat and increase the chance of conflict with Russia.

What is reason behind Slovakia annexing some tine parts of Ukraine?
There indeed is small Slovak minority in "Zakarpatia" however I believe Slovakia would not go for annexation for simple reason - Hungary. Slovak action to annex Ukrainian territory with Slovak minority would create precedence for Hungary trying to do same to Slovakia on territories where Hungarian minority is living.

That's is also reason behind Slovakia still not recognizing independent Kosovo, Abchazia or South Osetia as well as not recognizing Russian annexation of Crimea.

Slovakia and Hungary are at present members of same political and military alliances so annexion of Slovakian territory by Hungary is not in this case probably.
And Hungary got their part (which is much bigger then Slovakian part) of Zakarpattia also, so I dont see problem here.
I see it as Slovakia recognized Hungarian territory gains in Zakarpattia exchange for hungarian disclaime of Slovakian territory with Hungarian minority.

This way it could probably work but still I am not sure Slovakia would want to do that. Annexation of territory is something which is not look on lightly at Slovakia and Slovak political scene. It would be 180 degree turn in its long term policy because of what? 2 villages on the border with Ukraine? If Ukraine on other side offered this territory it may be looked on more favorably (but still Slovakia has enough empty or half empty villages on its eastern border.

BTW. Most members of EU and NATO of which Slovakia is member recognized Kosovo while Slovakia still is not showing intention to do so despite some diplomatic pressure from its allies.

But non recognising of Kosovo is by my opinion as Czech (so neighbour of Slovakia) more ideological disageement with independence of Kosovo then fear of Hungarian claim on their own teritory.
And relationships betwen Slovakia and Hungary is good, more better then Hungarian relationship with Ukraine for example

To the best of my (admittedly limited) knowledge the Hungarian annexation makes some amount of sense because it's at least more than one or two villages and roughly corresponds to the Hungarian-majority area in Ukraine. But what about Slovakia, Poland and Romania? If they're already out annexing territories, why stop at these scraps? For example, in the extremely improbable event that Poland would go about annexing anything in Ukraine, it's hard to imagine it not trying for Lviv. Did this Ukraine go full Banderist and brutally deport their minorities to border areas, but not predict the possible annexations?
