here's the new map:@Pokemon Master I realise I've made a mistake and accidently used the 2000 census population for New Jersey, which means that it actually should have 5 districts more.
Shouldn't hinge too much on it as it can be corrected later.
Yes, your intuition was correct. Thanks for catching my error. This county group must include Plumas County as well.
Yeah this warrants an explanation. When I realized I had malapportioned NJ (due to using 2000 census when copying the data), I added 5 seats to the state. Because this made the seat totals even and I wanted an uneven total, I added one more seat, which would be apportioned to Florida. I then forgot to update the average seat population for Florida.I've spotted an error on the main apportionment table, @Uebeltank : Florida could be divided into 250 districts of 75205 people apiece, or 251 districts of 74906 people apiece. The table currently shows 251 seats and a population per seat of 75205, so one or the other must be wrong. I've done prep work for a 250-seat map below, so I hope that's what was intended/consistent with the rest of the project.

OK. Tentative suggestion for slipping another district in: merge the Alachua, Citrus, and Hernando groups together, but split Baker, Bradford, and Union off as a single district, leaving 49 in the big piece.Yeah this warrants an explanation.
