Assuming that this is one where Thatcher somehow decides to hold a general election before being forced to step down, then, maybe I'd agree, Thatcher is unlikely to have too much of a chance. But I thought the reason the Tories won in '92 was because Labour were so obviously going to win, that they didn't? So they might have a chance...

Either way, albeit from my limited knowledge of politics of the time (i.e. not much, but still a tad- I was 6 remember!- and I'm no big historian) I'd be sure that whatever the result, it would be a near-run thing

And Toryanna, if you want to pretend the voting has clsed, set a time limit for the poll.

OK then, here are updated results. Rigged elections are called "Daley rules", and I don't think anyone should call a democrat a Nazi.

CONSERVATIVE: 45% PV, 367 SEATS
LABOUR: 35% PV, 240 SEATS
LIBERAL DEMOCRAT: 44 SEATS, 21% PV

INCUMBENT PRIME MINISTER: MARGARET THATCHER (CON)

mmmm, lets look this over, 1987 election,
Conservative: 376 seats, 42.2%
Labour: 229 seats, 30.8%
SDP-Liberal Alliance: 22 seats, 22.6%

OTL's 1992 election
Conservative: 336 seats, 41.6%
Labour: 271 seats, 34.4%
Liberal Democrat: 20 seats, 17.8%

i see...
