blue germany near to blue france? i suppose france will be purple in this case
Wow, this is a really close race!
Well, it can't, can it? The option that gains the most votes will win, so the only problematic scenario - er, problematic ignoring that one might not like the option that won, I mean - would be if the votes are 50/50, in which case I humbly suggests we keep the status quo rather than keep on debating this. If someone mistakenly votes for the wrong option, he or she can state it on the thread, and we can take that into account when tallying the votes.I hope it won't end up like the 2000 presidential election...
True, but I think Russia looks much better green anyways. It also makes the USSR contrast nicely with Tsarist Russia IMO.
Why should I care about some old 'traditional' colors on maps I'll probably never see?
I say UCS should reflect AH.com traditions and customs!
Wow, this is a really close race!
Well, it is a tradition, insofar that the UCS has had... a fair amount of influence... on maps in general on this Board, and the Russian Gold is one of the Great Old Ones of the UCS colours, so Russian Gold is pretty much an AH.com tradition by now."Ah.com traditions and customs" is Thande now? No offense to him, his UCS turned into quite a project of course, but quite many colours including Russian Gold were after all solely chosen by him - not that its necessarily bad, but you then cant really speak of "AH.com traditions and customs".

My vote breaks the tie! The tension is palpable!
Now, the fate of the socialist - ah, non-socialist-but-otherwise-politically-indeterminate Motherland is now to be decided by our actions. Shall the Indivisible Rodina be dignified with an autumnal colour redolent of bygone years, of great old trees that have shed their leaves and yet grown again with the spring many times before? Or shall it appear the colour of used mint chewing-gum? Choose!
